MJD, poem: The Canal

The Canal

The canal by nature flows to sea, where fish will follow in order to Feed. Beneath the water lies habitat and decay. With potential regeneration; natural evolution, will revoke degradation. Unknowing Below, there is a world above, like heaven and Earth, worlds collude.

The influence of the other, affects the one. Feet and wheels go By, day to day, not knowing their behaviour – causes dismay.

The pace of life has left us dry; consumed by what we can buy. But for life itself, is as free as a bird, and canals will remain, with no cost incurred.
