MJD, poem: Father

Father

Anger upon anger was a theme to be, until age set in and calmed the sea. Life was though for you and me, but nothing warranted the parted sea.

A mix of genes has a part to play but self control is what should have prevailed, a kid so small for punishment with no crime, all I could think, was did I take up too much time.

As time goes by I must forgive, as now I know that’s what you did. Take heed of what peoples past may be, as history has a spiritual part to play.
